Explore the ancient city filled with history, culture, architecture and natural wonders in our Pokhara tour package. With excellent views of Annapurna range, Pokhara is known as the nature’s hidden paradise that possesses nature’s gift of incredible beauty. Located about 200 km northwest from Kathmandu, Pokhara city is repository of natural and cultural treasures. The city is the major gateway for popular Annapurna region trekking in Nepal. Likewise, there are numbers of short hiking routes in Pokhara that are uniquely fascinating. Short hiking trip around Pokhara includes Sarangkot hike, Naudanda hike, Ghandruk and Ghorepani hike.
A trip to Pokhara from Kathmandu starts with cozy 200 km drive through the scenic landscapes and mid hill scenery. We will visit Davi’s water fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Tibetan refugee camp, historical museum and International mountaineering museum. Further, we enjoy exotic boat ride in the turquoise lake of Phewa in Pokhara. Next, we make an early morning drive to Sarangkot (1,600 m) to enjoy the spectacular sunrise over the horizon and stretching view of mountain from west to east includes Dhaulagiri, South Annapurna, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, Fish-tail (Machapuchare), Annapurna III, Annapurna IV and Annapurna II. You can never forget the breathtaking views of fishtail mountain standing right before your eyes. You can also partake in adventurous sport like Bungee Jumping, Paragliding, Zip flyer, Ultra-light flight and more.
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Mountain Magic Treks airport representative will meet you outside the Terminal Hall and escort you to the hotel at Thamel. Introduction to your tour guide and check the necessities. In the evening, stroll around the bustling city of Thamel.
After breakfast, we set off for full day sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. We explore the historic and antique sites of Kathmandu, mostly includes UNESCO designated heritage sites.
Pashupatinath
Pashupatinath temple is the major religious hub for Hindus, is the true combination of religion, art, culture and history. This site is also known for peace and devotion. The temple premises houses variety of temple that includes Dome style, pagoda style, shikhara style and so on.
Pashupatinath tour is the perfect introduction to the culture and lifestyle of Nepal and your city guide is there to answer any question you may have. Pashupatinath temple is forbidden for non-Hindu follower however the vantage point located nearby the Bagmati River exhibits the clear picture of temple and religious ceremony held inside it. It is protected by UNESCO world heritage site.
Swayambhunath
Perched at the top of the hill, Swayambhunath (2,000 years old) is the oldest shrine complex in entire Kathmandu valley. This ancient Buddhist stupa is embellished with golden spires, white domed ceilings and eerie painted eyes. As you enter into the stupa premises, a pack of monkey will great you who have led locals to refer to the complex as the Monkey Temple.
The view point near the stupa exhibits 360 degree view of Kathmandu valley and verdant hilly vegetation surrounding the valley. It is listed in UNESCO world heritage site.
Boudhanath
Located northeastern outskirt of Kathmandu, Boudhnath stupa is one of the largest spherical stupa in Nepal. This stupa used to be the trade route from Tibet which enters the Kathmandu valley. Tibetan merchants rested and prayed here for centuries. This Buddhist shrine is popular among Tibetan Buddhist pilgrims.
The structure of stupa comprise giant dome and Buddhist pyramid is set at the apex. Nepalese calls it a “Chorten Chenpo” which means “Great Tower” or “Great Stupa”. The beauty and spiritual significance of stupa attracts thousands of travelers and pilgrims alike. Interestingly, it listed under UNESCO world heritage site.
If time permits, we visit Darbar Square and Patan Darbar Square which holds great historical and cultural importance for Nepalese and these two sites are also listed under UNESCO world heritage site list.
After breakfast, we drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara via stunning landscapes following the bank of Trishuli River (famous river rafting to family travelers & beginner). Afternoon, stroll around the Lake city Pokhara and enjoy the boating in Phewa Lake followed by the visit to Tal Barahi Temple.
After breakfast, we proceed for exploring Davi’s waterfall, Gupteshwor Mahadev cave, Tibetan refugee camp and more other sites.
Early morning drive from Pokhara to Sarangkot for sunrise view and drive back to Kathmandu retracing the same road route
Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for final departure

I spent 1.5 weeks with Rewati as a guide, travelling around Chitwan, Pokhara and trekking in the mountains in Nov 2017. As a single female traveller, I was nervous to travel alone, but travelling with Rewati I had a great experience. He was very good company, very humorous and fun. He was very supportive when I got tired when hiking and adjusted trekking routes to suit my abilities. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we travelled to, and he took me to some very nice Nepalese restaurants and bars. Some evenings we would eat and drink together, and at other times he was very accepting when I wanted to spend some time by myself. I highly recommend. Planning on doing Everest base camp with him some time in the future. Thankyou Rewati :)
