Everest Base Camp Tour Package Details

It is probably the most popular trek in the world. It takes you close to the top of the world at an altitude of 5,364m / 17,598ft. The trek takes place in the Mount Everest region - Mount Everest (8,849 m/29,031 ft) is the highest mountain in the world.

The trekking area passes through breath-taking landscapes, spectacular lakes, glaciers, traditional Sherpa villages, and remarkable Buddhist monasteries that give you an insight into how the local people adapt to these harsh terrains.

Trekking with EBC destination begins with a scenic 40-minute flight to Lukla, followed by a short trek to Phakding (2,610m/8,562ft). The landscapes you trek through will be lush and exotic. On your trial, you'll find yourself surrounded by towering mountains, and as you progress, you'll reach Namche Bazar (3,440m/11,268ft) – our destination for the day.

In order for our bodies to adjust to the high altitude, we will one day adapt to the Namche market. But you have different options to spend the day. You can visit the Sherpa Museum which offers a glimpse into the Sherpa lifestyle and their history, take a walk to Sangboche Airport for stunning views, visit yak farms or stay at Hotel Everest View Hotel.

(one of the highest ranked hotels in the world - 13,000) can be walked to. ft). You can also visit the famous Khumjung Monastery, which is believed to contain the Yeti skull.

Next day we will leave Namche market and trek to Tengboche - a village famous for Tengboche Monastery (3,867m / 12,687ft). The atmosphere here is calm, peaceful and spiritually rewarding. After spending the night at Tengboche, we will wake up early in the morning and continue our trek to Dingboche (4,410m / 14,470ft).

From the way, you will be able to catch awe-inspiring views of Ama Dablam mountain. By the time you reach Dingboche, you will have gained considerable altitude. So we left the next day to meet at Dingboche.

Weather permitting, we will take a short hike to Dingboche Ridge to enjoy panoramic views of Lhotse, the island's peak, and the back of Mother Dublam.
To the north, you can see the majestic mountains rising above the Khumbu river valley. After spending a day at Dingboche for rest and recharge, we will continue trekking towards Lobuche the next day.

An exciting road awaits as you climb up from the Thukla Dargah and reach the Memorial Park, built in memory of those who could not make it through the region. Our destination awaits a little further at Lobuche (4,940m / 16,210ft), where we will spend our night.

The eighth day of your trek will be extraordinary because, on this day, you will reach the destination (5,364m / 17,598ft). But we start early in the morning, leave Lobuche, go through the Khumbu Glacier to Gorak Shep. Here we will leave our luggage and proceed to the destination above.

Reaching this magnificent destination is a life-changing experience.
In the end, your determination and willingness to endure hardships will prevail, and you can count yourself among the few who make it to EBC. From the destination, among other views, you will see the Khumbu Glacier – the world's deepest glacier at 4,900m (16,100ft). After spending some amazing time at the base camp, we will return to Gorak Shep, where we will spend this day.

Early the next morning, we will climb Kala Patthar (5,555m / 18,208 ft) to catch heavenly glimpses of the early sun rays reaching Mount Everest. We will descend Gorak Shep again, have breakfast and proceed to Pheriche. Since we have covered a long distance, we will spend that night in Pheriche.

After spending the night in Pheriche, we descend to Namche market the next day. Our route will cross the Dudhkoshi River and pass the Tengboche village. By reaching Namche Bazaar, you have almost reached the end of the trek. We will spend the night in Namche Bazaar.

On our 11th day, we will leave Namche market and return to Lukla, which is the end of your trek and you will stay for the night in Lukla. This marks the end of your trekking package.
If everything goes according to plan (depending on the weather), you will return to Kathmandu the next morning via Lukla Airport.

Mountain Magic Treks recommends that all our clients arrive in Kathmandu at least 24 hours prior to the trip departure day for a trip briefing, morale boost and equipment check. We also suggest our customers to add two days to the journey length as flights to and from Lukla are likely to be delayed.

Lukla Flight Delays/Cancellations: A Must Read

Here's what you need to know about the most likely Lukla flight delays and cancellations: Tenzing Hillary Airport, also known as Lukla Airport, is the only airport actively operating in the Khumbu region. The narrow runway strip and the situation of Lukla airport increase airport congestion during peak season. Unpredictable and changeable climate of hilly region Adverse weather factors like strong winds, low visibility and low clouds during monsoon and winter season.

Note: Every participant trek to Everest Base Camp should consider possible flight delays/cancellations and plan in advance. We suggest you arrive 1 day before  starting the Everest trek so that you have enough time to shop for any necessary trekking gear or to relax. Scheduled for possible delays in/out of Khumbu area (if your itinerary does not already include this day)

We recommend adding the next day after the trek, thereby reducing the risk of missing your scheduled international flight. Overall, we recommend you allow a few extra days (2-3 days) for the EBC trek.

Important Note: Lukla flights depart and return to Ramechhap instead of Kathmandu. It is about a 4 hour drive from Kathmandu to reach Ramechhap so you will start around 2am for the airport. The return drive to the end of the trek takes between 4 and 6 hours depending on traffic.

We can run a tour for single travelers, couples, friends and families with children. Our private journey is ongoing every day. Please contact us if you are looking for a small group tour.

FAQs

Is it a safe flight to Lukla?

Lukla Airport is one of the most dangerous airports in the world. However, more than 30 aircraft land at Lukla every day. During the high season, almost all of the 40,000 hikers fly to Lukla to visit the Everest region trek.

While it’s more dangerous statistically than a typical commercial airport, it is still pretty safe.

When it comes to safety, our focus is to get our customers on one of the first flights of the day. When you confirm the booking and send us your passport copies with a 20% advance payment, we will book the flight tickets immediately, so it is most important to send us this information quickly when you have made the deposit for the trip.

Due to the number of trekking groups we run in the Everest region, we get good priority with the airlines for our guests. In general, our groups get on either the first or the second group of flights going out each day during the peak season. We pick these flights because the weather tends to be much more stable and the visibility is better for landing first thing in the morning. Getting early flights is one of the key things we focus on to ensure our guests' safety and try to minimize delays in their itinerary’s programs.

How do I spend a day on daily trekking?

Trekking depends upon your chosen areas if it’s on mainstream trekking routes like Annapurna, Everest, and Langtang you will be spending overnight in a comfortable nice, and cozy lodge or guesthouse. A normal day on trek starts with tea and breakfast around 6: Am and then pack your bags for the day walks where larger bags are carried by our porters or pack animals (Yaks). While you carry your light day pack with necessary items for the day as the trek starts follow the lead Guide to a lunch stop for an hour or more and then walk to our designated overnight halt in lodge or camping. During the walk you will be walking on a winding  gradual trail with up and downhill slopes past traditional and cultural local remote farm villages along with the views of snow-capped peaks, including walking into a cool alpine forest covered with rhododendron, magnolia, hemlock, oaks, pines, and fir tree lines, walking for 5-6 hour as per day to day itinerary mentioned in your program

Planning for Delays at Lukla

Lukla’s landing strip is short and it runs to the edge of a large cliff face, making the approach very challenging. The airstrip has a single possible approach path through the windy valley it overlooks, and only very small aircraft and helicopters can make the journey. Due to its position and elevation, weather conditions and visibility can change rapidly. This makes the flight a difficult one to schedule or predict. The airlines do not take chances with weather conditions and will return a flight to Kathmandu anywhere along its journey rather than risk an unsafe landing if conditions have changed since takeoff.

Delays with Lukla flights are very common. These can happen any time of year but are especially likely around the monsoon season (late May to early September). If your flight is delayed, we will reschedule you for the next possible flight. As conditions can change so rapidly, this may be very soon after your scheduled departure, or as much as a few days later – it is very difficult to predict. This can be pretty frustrating but is simply part of the journey to the Everest region. We strongly recommend you add at least a day or two to the end of your trip to give yourself some flexibility in the case of any delays.

Extra days should always be scheduled at the end of the trip. This gives you flexibility with your trekking itinerary in case of any weather delays. Batter to add to your trip itinerary for at least two or three days, and those days, if you get a flight on time, can be used for city tours, river rafting, jungle safari tours, and a variety of other activities.

These are good guidelines and, in our experience, are sufficient nearly all of the time, but at the end of the day, it’s up to the weather.

What About Luggage Delays at Lukla?

It’s not common, but it is possible that your luggage will be shifted to another flight or delayed by the airline. The most important thing is to have all of your valuables and anything else you might need in an emergency, such as prescription medication, in your carry-on. Luggage delays or bags misplaced by the airline are out of our control, but we will do our best to get your gear to you on the trail.

How Much Does the Lukla Helicopter Cost?

If you do opt for a helicopter, you can expect to pay around $400 to $600 extra per person. Helicopter rates vary as a rule and increase when demand increases. That means the helicopter will be the most expensive when everyone needs one and the cheapest on nice sunny days when the flights are running normally. The rates given by our team in Kathmandu may not always match what is offered locally on the mountain. If you’re waiting for a flight back to Kathmandu, it can be worth asking at the local office in Lukla as well. The extra seats on a flight are basically a wasted asset, so prices are always changing as they’re trying to fill every seat on every flight.

What are the options to get back to Kathmandu when the Lukla flights are canceled?

The best option is just to add extra days to your trip and wait for clear weather, but if you’re stuck in Lukla, you will probably find yourself looking into other options as well.

Hike out to Salleri: It’s two long days of hiking from Lukla to Salleri, from where it is possible to get a jeep to Kathmandu, a 10 to 14-hour ride on pretty rough roads.

If helicopters are limited in availability, they may only be available to shuttle guests to Phaplu, which is an airstrip lower in the valley close to Salleri. We can arrange a jeep from Phaplu to Kathmandu. Be prepared for a 10 to 14-hour journey on rough roads. If you have extra time in Nepal, you might be better off waiting an extra day at Lukla for the weather to clear.

Helicopter to Surkhe: Surkhe is just a small village below Lukla where helicopters sometimes land as the visibility is better. It’s about an hour's hike up to Lukla from Surke.

Will Travel Insurance Cover Lukla Flight Delays?

Some policies will cover "trip interruption" that is a result of a rescheduled or canceled flight and will reimburse you for missed international connections or extra travel expenses. Mountain Magic Treks can provide the required documents for your insurance company in case you need to make a claim. We suggest you call your insurance company and see exactly what they cover before you arrive in Nepal.

Why Travel To Lukla With Mountain Magic Treks?

Getting to Lukla can be fairly simple, or it can be a real headache with several days of delays in the case of bad weather. We will do our best to make the journey as smooth as possible either way. If you are thinking of doing the trek with Mountain Magic Treks, or have already booked, you can be assured of several things.

We will book your Lukla flight before you arrive and try to get you on the first or second batch of flights. The earlier you book and send us your passport, the more likely you will have an early flight.

If your flight is delayed or canceled, we have higher priority than independent trekkers or independent guides when it comes to rebooking. This is an important reason to book with an established tour company that can offer the support you need.

We have an office in Kathmandu and one of our staff will be at the airport in Kathmandu during periods of flight delays working to make sure everything is taken care of and you’re kept as up to date as possible on the situation.

We want you to have a great trek and will do our best to ensure a smooth, safe, and timely journey to Lukla.

Things to know about the package

The word Everest evokes a sense of bravery and inspiration for all generations. Legends - Tenzing Norge and Sir Edmund Hillary - first climbed Mount Everest more than half a century ago in 1953, and since then, thousands of people have been coming to the area - some just for sightseeing, some for trekking, and very few for climbing. The legendary EBC trek starts from Lukla, which has a population of less than 1,500 and is situated at an altitude of 2,860 meters.

The area is very thinly populated, probably due to the harsh terrain and cold climate. So, when you hike this route, you are traveling in a high-altitude desert. However, you don't need to worry about anything as you will be in good hands.

Trek package

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, we will welcome you and take you to your hotel.

One day before your trip departure date, we will organize a briefing to encourage you, what to expect, and to check the equipment you need. We will start our EBC trek early in the morning with a scheduled 40 minute flight to Lukla.

The tour package includes Kathmandu to Lukla and Lukla to Kathmandu flight fees!

Welcome to Nepal

We provide free transfer service from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to your hotel on your arrival and from your hotel to TIA on your departure. Best time for Everest Base Camp Trek

Climate is a decisive factor that greatly influences the success of a trek. However, it is difficult to accurately predict the weather in the Everest region. Although professionals, locals, and thrill-seekers trek to the base camp throughout the year, the best time to trek to EBC is either spring or autumn for warmth and a high chance of clear skies.
Trekking is a bit challenging but possible in winter and monsoon. Mountain Magic Treks organizes treks during these seasons as well.

Himalayan weather is unpredictable and temperatures can change quickly.

EBC : Cold season (January and February)

It is the coldest season with heavy snowfall and low temperatures. Daytime is usually warm, but nights are cool. Although Mountain Magic  conducts the trek during these times, we do not recommend you to trek during these two months, especially if you are allergic to cold. However, if you decide to trek during these months, our team will ensure that you are safe, secure and comfortable.

Temperature: 15°C to -15°C.

EBC: Best Season (March to April)

March to April is also a great season for trekking to base camp. This season offers stunning views of the Himalayas and fascinating glaciers. From March, the weather starts to warm, and by mid-March, the sky clears, and the snowy mountains will look their best.

Temperature: 18 °C to -12 °C.

EBC: Good weather (May to June)

May to June is also the best time for trekking as it is the pre-monsoon period. Generally, it starts raining in Nepal from the month of June and lasts till mid-August. So if you want to avoid the rain and trek when the temperature is hot, this is the perfect time for you. The scenery at this time is breathtaking and beautiful.

Temperature: 25°C to -5°C.

EBC: Rainy Season (July to August)

It is raining in Nepal during this period and Lukla flight may be cancelled. Trekking becomes challenging but not impossible. If you decide to trek during this period, Mountain Magic will ensure your safety, security and comfort. One of the advantages of trekking in this season is that the trails are less crowded, and the waterfalls look beautiful.

Temperature: 27°C to 5°C.

EBC: Best Season (September to October)

September to October is one of the best seasons for EBC trek. As the monsoons slowly recede, the weather looks absolutely lovely, and hordes of trekkers will be on their way to the base camp. Due to weather, scenery and comfort level, we recommend you to trek during this time. An added advantage – it is also the festival season in Nepal, and if you trek during this time, you will get to enjoy the festivities.

Temperature: 20 degrees Celsius to 5 degrees Celsius.

EBC: Good weather (November to December)

The month of November offers a great time for trekking, the skies are clear, and the view of the mountains is breathtaking. The temperature during the day is very constant. As November progresses, winter slowly sets in, snow begins to fall, and trekking becomes difficult. By December, temperatures drop to annual lows.

Temperature: 18°C to -10°C

How long does it take to acclimate to EBC?

The highest elevation we reach is Kala Patthar at 5,545 meters. Our travel itinerary includes two days of relaxation and acclimatization in Namche and Dingboche. Altitude sickness is very common but preventable. However, if you ignore the symptoms, it can be serious.

Mountain Magic Treks guides and trek leaders have completed extensive first aid training and use oximeters to monitor your oxygen levels to detect early altitude sickness. Furthermore, we have designed our itinerary to prevent altitude sickness. However, for severe mountain sickness cases, the only treatment is immediate descent. Your group leader has the right to stop the climb considering the condition of vulnerable persons.

EBC Trip Grade: Fitness Level | Health information

Exercising regularly a few weeks before your trip will increase your stamina. Anyone with normal fitness can complete the trek. However, the fitter you are, the more enjoyable your experience will be. We recommend that you conduct stamina-building exercises a few weeks before your trip.

Previous hiking experience would be an added advantage, but no technical experience or skill is required. With a light day pack, participants who can walk for 5 to 6 hours a day, at a reasonable pace, can complete this trip. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases should inform us or consult their physician before booking the trek.

EBC Trekking in Group | Single

We organize group and private treks. Group discounts are available based on the size of your team. The bigger your team, the more discounts you get. Please see our price list for details. Just click - we offer group discounts to your right. However, if Mountain Magic Treks gathers a group, you will not qualify for the discount.
We can handle all group sizes. Your group will include a group leader, a porter for every two treks and an assistant guide for groups of 6 or more.

A typical day during the trek

Each day brings a unique experience of trekking, climbing, enjoying the view, taking photos and exploring the local villages. Experienced expert Sherpas will share information and historical facts about the places as you trek. The day starts with breakfast, and then we head out from 7am to 8am depending on the duration and nature of that day's hike. After three-four hours of trekking, we have lunch and some rest, then proceed to our destination for the day.
Once we reach our overnight lodge / tea house / tent, we have extra dietary food. You will have some free time to explore nearby places every day and batter walk around than stay in the room.

You will have dinner from 6pm to 7pm, and after dinner, we will have time for socializing. Your trek leader will brief you about the next day's plans. After the briefing and before going to bed, you will have time to enjoy reading, Monopoly, playing cards or watching mountaineering documentaries.

Communication during the trek

You can enjoy Wi-Fi at extra cost in lodges/restaurants/hotels, but at higher altitudes, communication will be via phone. You need to bring some spending money for food and accommodation in Kathmandu, visa processing, purchase of travel insurance policy, drinks, snacks, hot and cold drinks, tips for trekking team members, souvenirs, etc. We recommend you bring cash. dollars or other major currencies), which you can convert into rupees.

You can buy packed mineral water from the lodges or fill your water bottle with boiled water there. We can provide you with water purification tablets to make your water potable.

You should not drink water from rivers, streams or wells along the way as it may not be as drinkable as it seems.

Travel insurance for the trek

Travel insurance is especially mandatory for this trek. All trekkers must provide a copy of their comprehensive travel insurance policy certificate to Mountain Magic Treks. This policy should cover medical and emergency repatriation at high altitudes (up to 6000 meters) along with helicopter rescue and evacuation expenses. We may recommend insurance companies based on the recommendations of our previous clients, but we do not sell insurance policies.

Trekking members are requested to send their details – including insurance information, after they book for trekking. In the event of an emergency, we will use your insurance policy and the information documents you have sent us. This will help us arrange a quick and efficient rescue operation and transfer to a medical facility if necessary. Before purchasing travel insurance, call the company and double-check if they have heli-rescue and evacuation at altitudes up to 6000 meters.

Food Menu Items During the trek

Breakfast:

The first meal of the day is eaten in the early morning and it must replenish your body with energy for longer period of time. In the tea houses, you will be served healthy breakfast like: Porridge/Oats, Muesli,Toast with honey/jam/butter, Eggs,Tibetan Bread, Pancakes, and few more. Check the detail food guide list served at the tea houses.

Lunch:

Meal of the day is served as per the menu of the tea houses. Often, Lunch is as similar as the lunch, like typical Nepali food: dal, bhat, tarkari, achar and continentals. You can also order your favorite appetizer at the tea houses.

Dinner:

Mainly, the typical dinner includes dal, bhat, tarkari, and acchar; means rice, lentils, vegetables, and pickle. The Nepali lunch is best recommended by expert as it refuels the constant body energy. Besides Nepali food, you can get varieties of western meals in lunch like noodles, Momo, pasta, sandwich, pizza, macaronis, spaghetti and etc.

The Everest Region is a Buddhist territory so no animals are slaughtered here. However, meat is carried by the aircraft to Lukla and porters or mules carry it to the tea houses. Travelled to Nepal from Sydney, Australia with one friend and connected with Rewati for the EBC trek. He's a phenomenal guide who's very experienced and friendly! He knows what he's doing and also cares a lot about his clients. I really recommend anyone who thinks of doing any treks in Nepal to go under the guidance of Mountain Magic Treks.

My friend had trekked with Rewati the year before and I heard nothing but good things with them. My experience was the same - well organized, friendly, quick responses on email/whatsapp, and Rewati was super helpful answering all my questions before I arrived.

I did the 12 day EBC trek solo with Khem. He was patient, very knowledgable about the routes and weather conditions, has a lot of experience and connections on the mountains which made me feel super safe. At first I was worried doing the trek alone but turns out, it was super easy to meet trekkers along the way. Khem was also a friendly and funny guy. Never a dull moment on the mountains! Everything went according to plan, we even made it out of Lukla with no delays despite reading other stories of people getting stuck there for days. We made it successfully to EBC, I started getting a headache the morning up to Kalapathar but we were headed down that day. My guide was very considerate and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was feeling better. Halfway down, everything got back to normal and I gained my appetite back :) Thank you guys for a great trip!

Strongly recommend this trip and Mountain Magic! I'd do it again!

We did a 12 days EBC Trek in the first week of February 2022 in a private group of 3. It was a great experience! The trek was perfectly organized, the lodges were good and clean, according to our requests, meals were always good and with several options, and we had an amazing team: our guide Prem did everything to make us feel at home, he was available 24/7 and took care of all our needs. The assistants, among which Toran, were also nice and super helpful. The team gave us great comfort in challenging times (especially at high altitudes, when we were tired and the trek was more difficult). Needless to say, the trek itself was SUPERB! Amazing and varied landscapes and the emotion to get to EBC was unbelievable!!!! We were impressed by these professionals and loved all the local people we met during our stay in the Everest region.
If anyone has any fears/doubts about which trek package to get before going to Nepal, I would suggest choosing Mountain Mart! They are also quite affordable too! :) I can’t wait for my next trip with them!
Thanks for making our experience unforgettable!
We definitely recommend Mountain Magic Treks to all people willing to make it to EBC and ti enjoy the Himalayas!

Everest Base Camp Trek is an outstanding lifetime Experience!
We went for an Everest base camp trip by mid-January 2022. We were a little worried as we never did the trek in life. However, we did a lot of research and came across Mountain magic Treks so we decided after much thought to go with them

Initially, we were in contact with Rewati the trip operator of the company... we both were highly satisfied with his interaction and communication with me right from the beginning. we had so many questions and concerns regarding the trip and he was able to guide us and answer all our inquiries... the onboarding process was smooth and easy. when we arrived in Nepal we found everything ready starting from the person picking us up from the airport, the hotel, some equipment for the trek, a full introductory meeting on what to expect from the journey, all ground transportation, and even before we left Nepal after the trek.. a PCR staff was provided and came to our hotel...

As for our trekking guide Khem are truly happy that we had him as our guide.. a very spectacular human being. he was more than a guide.. he was a great companion as well.. he ensured that we were having a good time.. continuously shared his expertise of mountains, Sherpa people, and Nepalese culture. he always went the extra mile to support us... even at days when it was tough for us to continue due to altitude sickness.. he encouraged us and inspired us not to give up on this lifetime journey.. he always puts health and safety first.

Despite all the challenges of the Everest Base Camp trek but we are very glad we did it... and we did it with an excellent group of people.. Mountain Magic Treks Pvt. Ltd. we highly recommend them for anyone who intends to go trekking in Nepal.

Everest Base Camp, the trip of a life time!
we made it to Everest Base Camp and loved the entire trip. Mountain Magic Treks played a pivotal role in making this such a great adventure. The guides they found for us made all the difference in the world.
Our guide, Mahan is remarkable! I can tell he knew what makes a great adventure even better. He knew every mountain and its specifications, he knew all the local culture and customs and explained them so clearly, he knew what to suggest and what to avoid, he completely understands customer service, his English was amazing, he knew all the right people to get the special orders or service, and he knew the little extras that made it special. Most impressive is who he is, Mahan is kind, patient, humble, helpful, FUN, bright, eager, careful, encouraging, and consistent.
Kapil, our assistant guide was always out front keeping the perfect pace and making sure we were safe and enjoyed the journey. Both the guides and my son had a blast together laughing, singing, sharing and playing around.
There is no way to perfectly describe the views you will see on this journey from the lush green and magical waterfalls of the lower section to the powerful majestic views of the mountains and vistas of the upper section.
This trip will change your life and this country and its people will steal a piece of your soul.
We truly feel like we made a long-lasting friend in Nepal, which made our trek even more special. We highly recommend Mountain Magic Treks!

Thank you Rewati Parajuli for organizing such a wonderful adventure!

Tremendous trekking experience with Mountain Magic Treks!

My brother and I just returned from a trek with Mountain Magic Treks. Without any reservations, I would highly recommend this company for anyone interested in trekking in Nepal. I cannot say enough good things about our guide, Rewati. From my first contact with him planning our trek, to leaving at the airport, Rewati was extremely knowledgeable, professional and prompt in providing information about the trek, visas, transportation and equipment needed to have a successful trek. Rewati made all of the arrangements during our stay and more than went above and beyond in caring for all of our needs.
In addition, Rewati and his brother, our porter, provided excellent company during our trek, providing expertise and humor along the way. They provided excellent conversation yet were respectful of times when we simply wanted to take in the spectacular views that we encountered. To say that I would recommend Mountain Magic Treks would be a gross understatement. If I ever have the opportunity to return to Nepal, I would, without question employ Mountain Magic Treks again.

We did a 12 days Everest Base Camp Trek with Rewati and his team from Mountain Magic Treks it was amazing. Toran as our guide and Kumar as our porter the company provided. We had an excellent time as we were very well looked after by Toran and Kumar. Our accommodations were great in Kathmandu and in the mountain- we had great food, and hot showers and wi-fi were available for the most part even it is chargeable. Trekking was never dull, and when it became difficult, Toran always made sure we took a break just to breathe or take hydration. But he also made sure we were on schedule so that we wouldn't miss spectacular moments such as the sunrise at Tengboche and Kalapathar itself. Even before the trip, Rewati was already very kind and helpful, answering all our questions by email or WhatsApp. It was a very smooth experience for us from start to finish. Overall, a really great experience and we would definitely recommend the team of Mountain Magic Treks local company!
Thank you Mountain Magic Treks Team and see you again

Everest Base Camp Trek

Thank you Rewati for arranging an amazing 12-day trek to EBC for us! From start to finish everything was perfectly organized and went off without a hitch. You were extremely responsive and amenable to all of our needs and requests and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived in Kathmandu. You also went out of your way to help us coordinate my visit to Pokhara and Kathmandu Valley, which was extremely helpful and very much appreciated!!

Throughout our trek, Rewati checked in numerous times to see how we were feeling and how our trek was going. He also made sure the trip was living up to my expectations and we weren’t encountering any problems. Mr.Kumar as our guide and other porters always went out of their way to help us and make sure that we were happy with everything. It is very evident that Rewati cares very much about his clients and goes that extra step to personalize the service he provides. we had multiple exchanges with Rewati before our arrival and he was always very accessible and responded immediately to our inquiries. In addition to all of the useful information, he also provided us with a heavy North Face jacket, North Face sleeping bag, and trekking poles so we didn’t have to bring any of this stuff with us.

We truly feel like we made a long-lasting friend in Nepal, which made our trek even more special. We highly recommend Mountain Magic Treks!

We had an amazing time with Rewati and Khem. Everything felt smooth from the beginning to the end. Rewati first picked us up at the airport, brought us to the hotel we booked (he can also book for you), let us rest and later brought us to this great traditional Nepalese restaurant. He gave us tips on top attractions and places to visit during our free time and also shared with us stories about his background & family which made the trip very personal and made us feel like we had already been friends for years. We could feel Rewati’s passion for his job and willingness to make this trip a memorable one for us.
We then headed to Lukla for the Everest Base Camp Trek. The first days are fine but it got more challenging as we went higher in altitude. Rewati is well trained and experienced to notice the first symptoms of AMS (altitude sickness) and would know what to do next.
After the trek, we decided to head to Pohkara, a beautiful city surrounded by a lake and mountains in the background (Annapurna) where we wanted to lay back, relax, and enjoy outdoor activities (Mountain bike, hill walks and Paragliding) for the last leg of our trip. Again, Rewati was helpful and booked for us hotel, outdoor activities although this was no longer part of our trip package. He would help us like a cousin would help his family members visiting.
We have treasured so many memories from our trek but what made this trip trully amazing is the human touch, passion for his job and love for his country. Thank you Rewati for all, you will stay in our heart. We will surely remember the non-ending card games in the lodges, the many stories you shared with us, but also saving Jay’s life due to AMS and lung infection (quick response, very efficient, felt safe & reassured at all times).

Solo EBC Trek!

Best Guide You Could Choose!!

Rewati is an absolutely incredible knowledgeable, and efficient guide. He went above and beyond to make sure that I had an amazing trip from the time I met him until I boarded my flight. I went to Nepal by myself and only had a small amount of time to explore. Rewati planned out my entire time along the trek and I could not have been any happier! Along the trek Rewati was giving other guides advice on where to stay/eat and even helped out another guide who was on EBC get his clients who were sick life flighted out. Needless to stay he knows what he is doing and is the safest person you could choose as your guide! In addition he was incredibly flexible with the plans and has lots of friends along the treks. He was able to coordinate two drivers to get us off the mountain back into town while another friend I met took a bus and was car sick the entire time (3hrs). If you are going to Nepal Mountain Magic Treks is the absolute best and I would recommend to everyone!!

Lifetime Experience of EBC Trek with Mountain Magic!
